Flotation
Revolutionise the flotation circuit with an integrated Molycop solution using high-performance chemicals, smart instrumentation, cutting-edge Process Characterisation, Smart Process Control technologies and data-driven expertise.
Read MoreMolycop manufactures and distributes a wide range of flotation chemicals that can be tailored to suit customer requirements and maximise recovery.
Make An EnquiryMolycop’s range of chemicals is designed to enhance the efficiency of the flotation process. These chemicals, including collectors, frothers and modifiers play critical roles in maximising mineral recovery.
Collectors selectively bind to valuable minerals, rendering them hydrophobic so they can attach to air bubbles and float to the surface for removal. Frothers help create stable foam, improving the separation of minerals and preventing excessive bubble coalescence. Modifiers, such as pH regulators, control the surface chemistry of the minerals, optimising the conditions for the flotation process.
By utilising Molycop's flotation chemicals, mining operations can improve the selectivity and efficiency of mineral separation, resulting in higher recovery rates of desired ores. The tailored chemical solutions allow for better optimisation based on the specific mineralogy of the ore being processed, ensuring more cost-effective and environmentally friendly flotation – and increasing productivity in the mineral extraction process.

Agnico Eagle Fosterville Gold Mine (Fosterville) operates a gold plant in Australia comprising of a crushing and grinding circuit (SAG mill with a closed loop cyclone classification circuit) followed by flotation, bacterial oxidation and leaching circuits. The lack of surge capacity between the grinding and flotation circuit and restrictions on crushing operations due to noise constraints resulted in unique set of challenges, that required the implementation of a novel control solution using advanced instrumentation.
