With a background in metallurgy and years of hands-on experience in the field, Levi leads a global team of technical specialists who work closely with Molycop customers to optimise performance, troubleshoot challenges and implement solutions that make a measurable difference.
"My role is all about support," Levi says. "We’re here to work alongside our customers – on site, in the lab, or remotely – to make sure our products and services are delivering value. Whether that’s improving throughput, reducing wear, or helping teams understand what’s happening in their mill, we’re here to help."
A global perspective
With operations in more than 40 countries and customers spanning every major mining region, Levi’s work is inherently global. One week, he might be supporting a copper mine in Peru, the next he’s working with a gold mining operation in Western Australia, or leading a knowledge-sharing session for a team in South-east Asia."What’s exciting is that every site is different," Levi explains. "Geology, grinding media, mill design, process priorities – they all vary. Our job is to understand those variables and support the site teams in fine-tuning for optimal performance."
A day in the life
Levi’s days are as varied as the customers he supports. From reviewing plant data and conducting mill assessments, to preparing training modules or developing custom technical reports, he’s constantly collaborating with Molycop’s engineering, digital and product teams to deliver end-to-end technical support. Some days I’m in the field, collecting data and engaging with site personnel; other days I’m working with our regional teams on new applications, innovations or customer support plans. There’s a lot of collaboration involved – and I love that.
Building capability, together
At the heart of Levi’s work is Molycop’s commitment to partnership. That means not just delivering products, but building capability through training, technical exchange, and ongoing support. Our customers know their sites better than anyone. We bring our expertise, tools and global perspective to complement that local knowledge. Together, we drive results.
Levi is also a key driver of Molycop Training, the company’s industry-led learning platform that helps customers build in-house technical capability. Whether it's delivering accredited professional development or running site-based sessions, Levi’s focus is on empowering teams with the knowledge they need.
As part of this commitment, Levi will be leading sessions at the Masterclass Indonesia training event, taking place on 9–10 July 2025. The two-day event will bring together speakers from across Molycop’s global product and service portfolio, covering a range of topics including grinding media, flotation chemistry, digital optimisation, process control and more.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge, connect with our customers, and explore new ways to improve performance across the value chain,” says Levi.
Looking ahead
As the mining industry continues to face increasing complexity – from operational pressures to sustainability demands – Levi and his team are focused on staying ahead of the curve."Our goal is to be the technical partner our customers can rely on – not just today, but as the industry evolves,” says Levi. "That means constant learning, sharing insights and pushing to do better every day."
